This four-hour course certifies you in CPR and AED use for both adults and children. It covers the cardiac and breathing emergencies that kill fastest — without the broader first aid module, if that is not what you need.
Choose this course when your priority is cardiac and breathing emergencies across all age groups and you do not need the full first aid curriculum.
It suits workplace responders, school and childcare staff, coaches, fitness and recreation staff, and Michigan employers who want their teams confident on CPR and the AED specifically. If you also need wound care, bleeding control and sudden-illness response, step up to the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course instead.
The CPR/AED course covers cardiac and breathing emergencies — CPR, AED use and choking. The full First Aid/CPR/AED course adds the first aid curriculum: bleeding control, wound care, burns, broken bones, and sudden illnesses such as stroke, seizure and allergic reaction. If your role means you may face any kind of injury, take the full course.
Four hours. If you only need adult CPR/AED, that course runs three hours.
