Who this course is for

This is the course for people responsible for children all day: not just cardiac emergencies, but the broken bones, allergic reactions, asthma attacks, cuts and fevers that make up the actual texture of caring for kids.

It is built for childcare centres and daycare staff, preschool and elementary school personnel, camp and after-school program staff, youth sports coaches, and Michigan childcare programs that need documented, OSHA-compliant certification for their teams.

Does this course meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements?

Successful completion earns a valid American Red Cross digital certification that satisfies OSHA workplace and other regulatory requirements. Licensing requirements vary by program type, so tell us your specific program and we will confirm this course covers what your licensor expects.

How long does the course take?

Five hours for the complete pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED curriculum. If you only need CPR and AED, the Pediatric CPR/AED course runs four hours.

Can you add EpiPen and asthma training?

Yes, and most schools and childcare programs do. Our Anaphylaxis/Epinephrine and Asthma Skill Boosts are one hour each and can be added to this course, certifying your staff on the emergencies they are most likely to actually face.

How long is the certification valid?

Two years from the date of completion.
